Marie Wittmann

She was born in Algiers in 1915 (the capitol of Algeria). Aside from her high school education she was educated and trained in voice , ballet and piano, giving benefit singing performances in the Catholic Church in Zvolen.
Her mezzosoprano richly suited to the always requested Ave Maria. Mmes. Wittmann, Riccoti and Paulini were godmothers to the planes in the pilots’ training school, established in 1937, in Tri Duby, Sliac.
Marie Wittmann’s native tongue was French after her mother Catherine de Constantien.
